San Diego, CA, 6/21/2012 -- CENTURY 21 Award is proud to announce our corporate partnership with the Greater San Diego Business Association (GSDBA), also known as the Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Says David Romero, President and CEO of CENTURY 21 Award:
"We are proud to showcase our support for all forms of diversity, including the LGBT community. Our company is committed to fostering an open and encouraging workplace for our agents and staff to flourish within. Aligning with the GSDBA was a simple decision to make given that their economic empowerment, stewardship and advocacy closely mirror our core values of integrity, service and innovation."
The opportunity to join the GSDBA arose after the first meeting of the Award Diversity Alliance, a member-run group of CENTURY 21 Award agents and staff committed to recognizing and supporting diversity within the company. Support for the initiative has been widespread throughout the company:
"The Diversity Alliance is devoted to the idea that inclusiveness and encouragement are the keys to a successful environment within the office and without. We've made clear our conviction in equality and diversity. Coupled with our mission to help rebuild the American Dream of home ownership, we've created an atmosphere in which agents and clients, LGBT and allies, are free to pursue successful careers or find the perfect home, both key ingredients in a fulfilling existence." -Tassia Bezdeka,  Director of Technology & Social Marketing
"I was very proud when I decided to join CENTURY 21 Award in January 2012. Now, I am even prouder to be a part of Award as this is a huge step toward showing Southern California how diverse and tolerant our company is. I look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come!" -Steve Encarnacion-Kilgore, Agent
"We're proud to serve all homebuyers and sellers." -Anton Fox, Agent
