CENTURY 21 Award hosts 2014 C.A.R.® Home Buyer Survey Seminar

San Diego, CA, 7/16/2014 -- Agents from across Southern California gathered online and in person to participate in an event to help them better understand today's home buyer. The 2014 C.A.R.® Home Buyer Survey Seminar was hosted by David Romero, President and CEO of CENTURY 21 Award, with special technology insights from Tassia Bezdeka, Director of Technology Development and Social Marketing.

Romero discussed in detail the changing demographic of today's home buyer, as well as their experience with the process, obtaining financing, and their overall experience with their agent. "It's imperative to explore the results of this survey with our agents so that they can really understand the buyer of today," says Romero. "It is the only way that we can ensure delivery of the most effective service to our clients and our community."

On the technology front, buyers are becoming more social every year. "Client adoption of social media use in the home buying process has increased fifty-eight percent since 2011, with three in four clients stating that they use social media in their home buying process today," states Bezdeka. "The incredible stat is that 92% of these buyers are not only receptive to receiving real estate information via social, but they also average at 4.1 out of 5 (5 being the most receptive)."

In addition, Bezdeka notes that clients are depending more and more on their mobile devices during the home buying process. "The best advice for an agent right now is to make sure that they are well-versed in the ways that clients are using their phones and tablets," she says. "There is an unprecedented opportunity to educate and collaborate, resulting in an experience that creates raving fans."

Over 130 agents attended live and via webinar simulcast to each of CENTURY 21 Award's 15 offices.
